Guest Chef Dinner: Daniel Burns & Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergso of Luksus
We’re ramping up our next Guest Chef Dinner with a duo that is sweeping over the culinary scene! We are thrilled to announce our next Guest Chef Dinner with Chef Daniel Burns and Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergso – co-owners of the Michelin-starred Luksus in Brooklyn. Jeppe is also one of the hottest brewers in the nation as the proprietor of Evil Twin Brewing.
Chef Daniel Burns has spent time at The Fat Duck, Momofuku Culinary Lab, and most recently at Noma, where he was the head pastry chef for three years. Studying to be a mathematician, Chef Burns turned his mind towards the kitchen, where he said ” clarity and neatness are prized almost as much as creativity.”
Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergso grew up with his twin brother, Mikkel, in Denmark. Both competitive cross country runners on the Danish National Team, they each later became proprietors of their own beer labels, with Mikkel starting Mikkeler, and Jeppe starting Evil Twin Brewing.
Using the model of “gypsy brewing” , Jeppe founded Evil Twin Brewing in 2010. He produces limited edition and one off beers, but also seasonal, year round selections, and now brews in 10 different breweries in 6 countries around the world. Jeppe’s ambition is to make New York the beer capital of the world.
Together, Jeppe and Daniel wrote the book, “Food & Beer”, which was published by Phaidon earlier this year. We are so excited to have this duo at Frasca for the evening, with a menu by Chef Daniel and Evil Twin beer pairings poured by Jeppe.
