11/25 Monday Night Wine Dinner: Massican
November 25, 2019 05:30 PM
Dan Petroski is undoubtedly one of the greatest winemakers in California. It was no surprise when the San Francisco Chronicle named him “Winemaker of the Year” in 2018. Dan is an inspired person. He has a love for wine that is contagious, and is a champion of Napa as a region, of young sommeliers, and of the great wines of the world.
Petroski has been winemaker at Larkmead for many years - making classic, noble Napa Cabernet, while producing delicious, obscure Italian varieties under his own label, Massican, for ten vintages. Two entirely different projects, yet both handled with the love and attention that Petroski seems to give everything he cares about.
2018 marks Massican’s 10th Anniversary vintage. So for tonight, we will be pouring two wines per course - a Massican wine alongside a wine that inspired Massican and Dan’s winemaking journey. We can’t think of a better way to kick off this week than celebrating with Dan.
